About this “Beyond Blue” Gallery

We love the rich, deeply-hued blue of cyanotypes, but certain images call for something different. The images on this page are a mixture of cyanotypes that have been toned (in a chemical reaction with tannins from coffee, tea or red wine), cyanotypes that have been reduced (using sodium carbonate as a bleach) and a smattering of regular (non-cyanotype) photos.
